Today on a special episode of Out of the Jaws, Adam speaks with Mike DeCillis, candidate for the 11th congressional district in New York, where he faces incumbent Republican Nicole Malliotakis. Malliotakis won her first race with 53% of the vote in 2020, then 62% in 2022 and 64% in 2024.
Does DeCillis really stand a chance? The DNC clearly does not think so, as they have all but abandoned the district. But DeCillis tells a very different story about this district, one of underserved populations that his campaign is doing outreach and voter registration drives for.
Anything can happen in a wave year and this deep red district has some special characteristics that may give it more of a chance above and beyond the national environment. Listen to their conversation to learn more.
Out of the Jaws can be heard on Spotify, on Apple, on YouTube, on Amazon, and elsewhere via its RSS feed.
