Editor's Notes: Stop Lying to Our Faces—Donald Trump Is a White Nationalist

The president's little July 4th party on Saturday was something of a bust, but it did draw one of his most loyal constituencies. Some 400 members of the white nationalist group Patriot Front showed up in DC. Crowds with their unsettling white masks could be seen filling Metro cars alongside Black residents and marching in the streets of our nation's capital.
Even the quite openly white nationalist contingent on Elon Musk's X was quick to try and run interference, claiming the group was a leftist plant. It's funny what these guys care about and what they don't. Something about parading around in white masks seems politically more dangerous to them than hiring someone who said that "competent white men must be in charge."
These pathetic attempts to cover the plain truth are only the most brazen, and most cynical examples of a constant in the Trump era. Despite the fact that the dog whistles and plausible deniability have been dispensed with, despite the fact that they're openly staffing the government with people who do not hide their white nationalism, despite the fact that our deportation policy appears to focus almost entirely on anyone who appears to be a minority to the naked eye—despite the clear evidence of our senses and of reason, in other words, people continue to take offense when you call a spade a spade.
Even the Supreme Court has gotten in the game, to an unusual extent.
