The pace of events during the Trump presidency is exhausting. Physical, emotional, and moral fatigue inevitably set in. The temptation to simply check out is always there. But you don't want to do that—why would you be reading Liberal Currents if you did?

We're here to help. Riptides will provide summaries of the news, Tuesday through Friday most weeks. Two to four of the biggest stories of the day, or the ones that flew under the radar but shouldn't have, and a collection of links to other stories at the end that you can choose to peruse (or not).

It will also offer you a way to receive fewer emails from us: starting tomorrow, Riptides will include a summary of what we have published.
