This year, we did something entirely new in the nearly ten year history of Liberal Currents. We produced a print issue.

The Reconstruction Papers is a concentrated dose of what makes Liberal Currents stand out. The mission of this special issue is tied to the current crisis; it is therefore largely practical in focus. But that practicality is driven by liberal values, by the goal to achieve a more liberal democratic future than the moment we're living through, or even what came before it.

And the collection concluded with a return to values, as executive editor Samantha Hancox-Li talked about the nature of liberalism itself and as contributing editor Guillaume Attia looked at the history of militant liberalism on the march. Even here values are balanced with practicality, as contributing editor Adam Rust discussed the imperative to develop a practical politics in order to fulfill the liberal promise of constitutional law.

We are slowly rolling out these essays for you to be able to read on the site, and the PDF of the entire collection has been available for months. But physical print copies are finite, and we are drawing down our inventory by the day.
